What Makes Healthy Diets?

There are so many diets, and they contradict each other! What really are healthy diets?

There are many diets being promoted as the key to your health. And they often seem to contradict each other...

Confused? So was I!

My investigations

After investigating many different healthy diet recommendations, I determined that...

I finally determined healthy diets...

Include good carbs. Good carbs add important nutrients that help fight disease and promote health.

Exclude bad carbs. Bad carbs increase disease, both physical and mental, and are empty of nutrients.

Have a wide variety of different foods. Western diets tend to have an extremely limited number of plant-based foods, unlike hunter-gatherers who can easily rely upon over 30 different types of plant-based foods.

Why not a low carb diet? Low carb diets restrict carbs in varying levels. Fruits and vegetables offer many health benefits. Vitamins, minerals, and anti-oxidants. Instead of lumping all carbs together as bad, focus on eliminating the bad carbs.

Compare different types of healthy diets.
